MOBIUS FOUNDATION

It is a finite world we live in, but, with growing urbanisation, our consumption of resources has increased tremendously. We need to re-think the way we function. We need to adapt to more sustainable ways of living. If we want to survive on this planet, “Reduce, Re-use, Recycle” is the only way. The “Mobius Foundation” works to spread the concept of sustainability for us and for future generations. The Mobius strip is named after August Ferdinand Mobius, a famous mathematician.  Mobius Foundation, as the name implies, is committed to sustainability, strengthening systems with empowering technologies and encouraging healthy behaviour. The principle being a focus on education, environment, population stabilization that contribute to sustenance. Mobius has the vision to collaborate with a diverse range of public & civil partners to advance the cause & practices of sustainable consciousness in Indian citizens.  Why is sustenance a Mobius core concept? The world is on the path of destabilisation by human intervention. There have been tremendous amounts of advancements leading to better standard of living. But we are not consciously working our way towards urbanisation. In the race of improving the lifestyle, we missed the focus on building a sustainable living for us and our future generations. Sustainable living is a lifestyle that attempts to reduce an individual’s or society’s use of the earth’s natural resources and personal resources. Practitioners of sustainable living often attempt to reduce their carbon footprint by altering methods of transportation, energy consumption, and diet. “SUSTANIABILITY” today is the need of the hour and not only a foundation but every individual should work towards build a sustainable living. Our planet is at breaking point. But it’s not too late to save it How is  the Mobius Foundation working towards fulfilling its goals of sustainability The projects under Mobius Foundation are constructed on the 4 main Ideologies: POPULATION STABILISATION: Mobius believes population stabilisation is a crucial step needed to address global issues like poverty, extinction of species and carbon footprint. Through health, education and financial incentive programs, the foundation aims to achieve a sustainable future. Our Project “Aakar” is working on the same ideology. In line with the Government of India’s commitment to promoting population stabilization, we are working in two districts of Uttar Pradesh (Behraich and Barabanki) targeting 200 villages and will further roll out across five districts with highest birth rates. Project AAKAR will educate people on the importance of reproductive health, family planning and increasing the uptake of contraceptives We have come up with the concept of “Zimmedar Hum” that aims to provide eligible couples with information and guidance on family planning methods and services available and “Dampatti No 1” Communication that is appealing and understood in the rural areas. EDUCATION: Mobius aims to educate people and instil responsibility for the environment. The foundation believes that making people aware of the consequences of their actions, will help them realise the gravity of the consequences. Project “Gyan Anant Vidyalaya” and “World Environment School” are being executed, realising the value of education and how it will help shape future generations. Gyan Anant Vidyalaya: Coming up in Village “Atrauli” District Hapur, the … Continue reading MOBIUS FOUNDATION
